She made one of the funnier comments on The Office documentary. She said that someone who knew her dad was Jasper Carrott asked her when she changed her name to Davis, and she said something like "and you assumed Davis was the made-up name?" So clever in that cutting British fashion.

I think you're mistaking conversation for wit. What she said was mundane, and factual. Not clever. If you enjoy cutting British humour then this exchange is going to be kittens treading silver moonbeams over a lake of gold for you.
