Another idiot

This guy just insulted the third most populous state in the union, Texas, by saying one doesn't think of Texas when discussing concepts such as morality and philosophy.

Some one should tell this numbskull -- who apparently married his way into US citizenship -- that Texans are more moral and more philosophical than any of the shallow people in Hollywood.

Something I know first hand.

Advice: don't go insulting a state and a people you know nothing about. If U of T was foolish enough to hire your dad to teach there, try showing some courtesy and gratitude. You know, like moral Texans do in England when we don't insult certain fools who still need to have a Queen.

Get off your high horse(no pun intended). You know about the people in your town, maybe your city. You know about your family and those close to you. Please do not act like you've got "you're state" all figure out. There are different types of people, attitudes, beliefs, and philosophies in your state, and you speak for none of those people but yourself.

BTW, your state is BIG! It would be one of the most populous now wouldn't it. You're a genius.

Without imagination there is no reality.

its true tho. when i hear texas i think of guns and a funny accent

I haven't heard all of what he said but I'm guessing he was referencing how many people you Texans have murdered over the years. Some of whom were undoubtedly innocent! F-cking rednecks.

"I don't want Fop, Goddammit! I'm a Dapper Dan man!"

reply

Was that in relation to his father? Who is a professor of philosophy at the University of Texas.

reply

Yes, it was, Paul.

That makes it even funnier!!

I have no problem with Texas but I can see why it isn't the First State he thinks of with regard to philosophy and morality. And I can say the same thing about NY, lol, it's where I am from and there is a huge lack of morality here!(though people do have their own philosophy about things, as they do everywhere else)

I wonder what state he WOULD think of first

You just got mad at the OP for defending his state from Dancy's generalizations. See the problem?

To get mad at the OP, you'd also have to recognize that Hugh Dancy doesn't know everything about the state, either.
