Alessandro Nivola will both star in and produce the movie A Single Shot, according to a report on Deadline.com. David M. Rosenthal is directing the project.
Matthew F. Jones has written and adapted his own novel for the movie, which is set in a farming community in the rural Adirondack Mountains and centers on what happens after a man (Nivola) accidentally shoots a teenage girl while aiming at a deer he's illegally poaching in a nature preserve.
The movie will also feature Nivola's wife ,Emily Mortimer, along with William H. Macy, Terrence Howard, Juliette Lewis, James Badge Dale and Juno Temple.
