KOH was on AMC last night and it has been quite awhile since I have seen this. I have the DVD (yes I know....why haven't I watched that? ) anyway. this just shows how good Marton is. Even though the film was trimmed and shown with commercials it is still very good.. and Ridley Scott never disappoints...

I love Marton and Brendan Gleeson together in this... They are so very evil and yet in a wierd way funny as well. all they want is power and will do anything to get it. If any of you have not seen this film...rent it and get the extended cut. It pulls the whole story together and the film makes much more sense.

Have you ever seen Ridley's director's version of the film? Marton gets even more screen time, and his development of the character of Guy is very solid and compelling. You see much more beyond a typical "bad guy with facial hair", lol.

The director's cut really showed up how much better that film could have been if Ridley had had his way. Still, I feel like he gave up a little too easily with the thought that he could put a longer version out on dvd.
