threw her career away over Ryan Phillipe? is she the new Gretchen Mol?

Firstly, I must say that Abbie Cornish is my favorite female actress of my generation, tied with Emily Blunt (go away jennifer Lawrence). She has a wonderful presence on screen, a lovely singular voice, and great diction. And I love how she has a 'plump' 'curvy' 'real girl' (read: HEALTHY AND NORMAL) sort of bodily definition to her. she doesn't conform and always looks beautiful.

So I'm not trying to stir ***t, but I have to wonder, what in the world happened to her career? She was always flirting back and forth between that line of *obscure b character actress* to *actress on the brink of superstardom/the next big thing*

And then it all sort of disappeared. I see that she has some projects in post production…but now she is about 30, and the last pics I saw of her, she didn't look so lovely. I don't know. Not sure her career will ever go back to it's zenith, I hope it will…but in the meantime...what went wrong??

EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURT.

I'm watching Klondike right now (which is quite good), and this is my first time seeing her.

Her acting is so-so (then again, Klondike is jam-packed with top talent?which tends to accentuate anything less than superb), but she's very easy on the eyes. She has a lovely "real girl" physique (I don't think "plump" is accurate; Kelly Clarkson is "plump"), carries herself well, and almost looks like she could be related to Charlize Theron.

[The "?" is an em dash. I forgot that IMDB's forum software doesn't like certain puntuation marks.]

I've seen her in two films, Limitless and A Good Year. She's gorgeous and adapts well to athletic type roles. Her problem is that Charlize Theron is still on top of her game and the roles may have gotten will be pitched to the South African first. I can see her killing Young Adult.

But that's not her only impediment, she jumped the shark in two words:

Sucker Punch.
