I honestly feel like he and Kevin James get gigs because it's mostly males who are in charge of who gets these gigs and they want to see fat unattractive guys so they -- the men hiring -- feel better about themselves.

Though to be fair, Kevin James is funny, and he did have one of the most popular sitcoms that lasted nearly a decade (The King of Queens) and is currently starring in a new one called "Kevin Can't Wait". But,yeah, I used to wonder why unattractive dudes of any size always get to star in these TV shows where they get all the hot women, and yeah, it's definitely a wish-fulfillment thing on the part of the male creators (especially the ones who weren't popular in high school and were basically the nerds and geeks.) That being said, I don't think Corden's unattractive at all, and he does seem to have lost some weight in the year, definitely. He is funny, though, depending on what he's talking about or who he's making fun of on the show, though. And he actually seems to have a decent singing voice, and I love the rap battles he has with some of his guests---that's usually the best parts of the show most of the time.
