I watched the whole thing and now know more than I ever wanted to about Dane Cook.

I already had to live through Dane Cook. I'm not watching this. He was never funny. Drunk Jock Bro dumbassary.

Never found his comedy funny. He was big at one point then faded away. Just was boring to me.

He was compared at the time to Clay, for shock value and just saying dumb shit that didn't actually have setup or a punchline. But I thought even that was a stretch. Clay at least laid a groundwork for his juvenile musings. This is 20 years back, but I used to bitch quite a bit about Cook and how he was damaging stand up comedy. He had a whole legion of clones that were mimicking his act cause it made money. And the art of the joke was decimated and never really recovered.

Never saw the appeal either. As said, don't even care enough to watch this.

Buuut, I do have to take this rare occasion to plug the sleeper comedy Windy City Heat (2003), in which Cook has a very small role. Go ahead and read the synopsis, as if you're anything like me you won't at first believe the premise that the whole movie is an elaborate practical joke on one very gullible, clueless but highly entertaining to watch man. This self-absorbed no talent guy is convinced he's been cast as the lead in a big (fake) Hollywood movie. Word is, even years later, he still doesn't believe it was all fake. This movie is seriously gut-bustingly funny, and all-too unknown.

His "friends" constantly fucked with him on The Big 3 podcast that lasted 200 episodes.
