Liked his work in the network series, Midnight Caller, where he played a talk radio show host. Liked him in both Brady Bunch movies. LOVED him as Sheriff Lucas Buck in the FIRST American Gothic TV show. He is hilarious in the HBO series, Veep. The guy can do drama, horror and gut-laugh-level comedy. He deserves a post.

shareI’ve found that he always delivers. The first four seasons of Veep are amazing; then its creator left for another project. Put it this way: as a former journalist I eschew ALL news and politics, but, even with that said, Veep’s visceral humor and Cole’s smarmy and cynical performance slay me. Always nice to meet another fan. Have you noticed how many great people have no posts on this site? What a shame. We need to post for the worthy!

Does no one remember Motown, the great melodies, spiritual, danceable, amazing Black American music that had no need to vanish when the clumsiness of Rap reared its ugly head? The Supremes? The Four Tops? The Temptations? The OJ’s? Marvin Gaye was the standard-bearer for Motown, one of America’s few native artforms, and he is neglected here. His song, What’s Going On?, was an anthem for the Civil Rights Movement. If you love an artist, please find her/him here, and post. Outside of MC, if there’s someone who may not even be a friend, but whom you cherish, value, respect and/or revere, tell him/her. Today at my gym, wither I returned on crutches after a long hospital stay, I was greeted by one of my favorite trainers, who wanted to know what happened. I explained, then told her I’d missed her, that I love her (not romantically, she prefers women) and that she is one of many who are in my prayers every night. The look of surprise, joy and grateful acceptance on her face was more reward than anyone needs. I don’t believe that it’s possible to give too much deserved praise.

shareYes, he is, but he can also be a leading man. He was one of the leads in The Brady Bunch movies and THE lead in American Gothic. He SPOILER played The Devil. If you can find it, watch. I am a connoisseur of works about Satan. I’m as far from being a Satanist as is humanly possible; but playing Old Scratch is an imposing acting challenge. De Niro has done it the best. Jennifer Love Hewitt was surprisingly good, up against Anthony Hopkins as Daniel Webster in Shortcut To Happiness. Cole was much better than JLH, not as good as De Niro, but brought entirely his own take to the role—and that’s hard to do.

- the captain on "Excalibur"
- my brother likes the dad he played in "Taladega Nights" but only because of the cougar wrestling scene
There are a few other parts, but I'd have to look them up in his filmography.
Do you mean Excalibur, John Boorman’s masterpiece? That’s not a challenge. That’s an actual question. There are so many good things in that, one of my favorite, movies, I cannot keep track of them all.

shareThank you, AG. Years ago, I used to think that Kim Possible was kind of hot. I like strong women who expose their belly-buttons. Also, my heart had always been a slave to Disney. I love the company, warts and all. When I was 5, I asked my Finnish babysitter to transcribe a letter to Walt about an idea I had for a series, and I included sketches I had drawn. Good energy attracts good energy. I am not at all surprised that Gary was selected to be the voice actor for Kim’s father. She is such a dynamic young lady. She must have had a very strong and supportive Dad. Thank you for that.
