ever play a good guy?
I have seen Coates in a lot of movies and liked his work; he's a villain in all of them. Anyone seen him somewhere as a good (or at least not evil) character?

He plays a "non-evil" guy in quite a few films, surprisingly. To name a few bigger roles....Battlefield Earth, Silent Hill, Black Hawk Down, A Little Help, and Goon. Also he's the good guy, although he's set up as the bad guy at first, in an old movie called Dead By Dawn. He turns out to actually be one of the heroes of the movie. There are a few more smaller good guy roles, but he usually winds up dead pretty quickly.
