This latest thing the other creeps are defending him saying what Clarkson said was just a joke.

Some joke .... is this what gets you Clarkson fans laughing?

Clarkson said he loathed the Duchess "on a cellular level" and was dreaming of the day that she was made to parade naked through every British town while crowds hurled excrement and chanted “shame”.

Aside from that there are numerous situations where Clarkson, 6 feet 5 inches tall, punched people as well. In Britian they refer to Clarkson as "The Orangutan", in America we'd just call him a bully, or a Republican.

Clarkson is capable of being extremely funny, funny enough that this left-wing American who has no interest in cars, has laughed to the point of abdominal pain over his car shows!

However, he's far funnier when working in the context of a specific show with a staff of writers, than when allowed free rein. Or when he's allegedly assaulting PAs behind the scenes. He *can* be funny, but he does have the reputation of being an asshole in real life, and apparently he doesn't have the sense to keep his inner asshole from showing itself in public.

One big defect in human beings and human society and politics - a marginal number of mindless stupid people care more about laughing and being entertained than they do in solving problems and making life better for everyone. We'll either learn to turn away from aholes like Clarkson, Murdoch, Trump, Santos, Desantis ( funny how they are all Republicans ) or we will just laugh ourselves into extinction.

Worry about the likes of Clarkson when all the Murdochs and Putins are no longer a threat.
