He got fired for THAT? Everyone on the internet has said worse about that awful woman!

No, he had to have made enemies at Amazon, just like he did at the BBC. He didn't get fired from the BBC for bitchslapping a PA or whatever he did, he got fired because he'd done the same thing many times and was on his absolute last chance.

He made a big mistake by apologizing in such an abject way. He should have made light of it by saying something like "Okay the shit throwing part was maybe a bit much, just eggs and tomatoes would do."
