Weeds: Only one episode????

Why was he in only one episode?
I loved his character, and I wish he wouldn've been a part of the main plot.

Yeha, just the one. It was unfortunate because his character was pretty funny. He went the same way as the Quinn character from the first episode

you know, i just rewatched the first season and i'm pretty mad that he's only in that one episode. it really sucks. i mean, he's supposed to be Doug's son so you would think he'd at least show up every once in a while but nope.

i liked his character a lot too...but damn, he just disappeared.

reply

Yeah, he just disappeared. Doug does mention him in a an episode in Season 4, but that's it.

i know.. i keep hoping LOST or Weeds will throw him a bone and bring him back.

Weeds should bring back Zooey Deschanel, too.

I've been watching the show for the first time lately and thought it was very strange too. At least the girl got some kind of explanation why she left. I guess he didn't work out after the pilot. I thought it would have been cool if Silas began to resent Nancy because she hung around Chatwin's character more than her own sons, seeing as how Silas begins to resent her just from teen angst; kind of dull. He was really good too, kind of a shame.

Luckily for those who like Josh in 'Weeds', he made a pretty awesome return to the show in its series finale on Sunday.

reply

yeah, now that he's big on the fellow showtime show to weed, "Shameless". Excepts he's a VERY different character lol!

reply

He only did the pilot, because that was around the time he got hired for War of the Worlds. It's safe to assume, he was hedging his bets...take a supporting role in a big budget film, by one of the best directors in the business opposite one of THE MOST bankable stars in Hollywood...or stay on a new made for cable show that may or may not last past the first season?

I could understand his reasons, even though it didn't pan out. If he had stayed on Weeds, he may not be on Shameless now, but doing bigger things. You never know.
