Bond..James Bond
Why not offer him the role he was the runner-up to Craig and he definitely has the looks and acting chops for it after seeing him in MI with Tom Cruise.

shareCould be but I doubt it, Daniel Graig will probably continue as Bond in at least one film.
shareI wouldn't cast Cavill for this reason. I think he is perfect for the role. I thought the same about Brosnan and that actually ended up not working out so great. I think it's important to go against obvious casting.
share? Brosnan was great. Haven't you seen Goldeneye?
shareSure. I've seen em all a hundred times. Brosnan was a very stiff Bond. Even the great Goldeneye script could only do so much. He was MUCH more Bond like on Remmington Steele. I think he may have actually been trying to get away from recreating that performance and swung too hard into limbo. What I remember most from the movie is the action spectacle and Sean Bean's performance. Brosnan was just kind of there. To me, it simply felt like he was filling Bond's shoes, not becoming Bond.
shareTo that same point, i'm not much of a fan at all of Craig's Bond, or the direction they took with the films. But he very much does feel to me Bond. He IS James Bond. With Pierce, I always felt I was watching him play James Bond. Maybe it's different for people that grew up with him as their Bond. I grew up with Moore as my Bond and I didn't accept Dalton till years after the fact when I realized he was the best ever.
shareI've never read Fleming so all I have are the movies. I like that they're all different bonds.
shareFlemming's great but the thing about Bond books: there's as many different types of Bond authors as there is Bond actors. Gardner's Bond is very different than Flemmings, but totally awesome too. I'm a huge Bond nut. Just because i'm critical, make no mistake, I love all of it.
shareHe looks too young. I liked Craig, even though he wasn't much like the books. I would like to someday see a period (mid1950s) Casino Royale and (early 60s) Moonraker (best book of the series?).
