right after Woodstock. Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane and Joni Mitchell are the guests.

Cool. I don't think Janis was on that show. She was on a couple times on other shows. You're talking about the one where they are all talking about Woodstock right?

Hendrix was suppose to be on but canceled. I will see if Janis shows up.

he was much more in touch with the cultural changes of the late 1960s than the other talk show hosts at the time.

I love watching old interview talk shows. Cavett, Susskind, even the heavy chain smoker Tom Snyder

YouTube is so great for putting his shows on.

Cavetts easygoing nature helps the artists let there guard down.

Pretty sure he also interviewed John Lennon/Yoko.

Also Crosby Stills and Nash. Cavett looked a little uncomfortably square in that video.

I thought he held his own against the hippies. He was teasing Grace about her upper class upbringing.

A fair amount of them flower childs came from lavish upbringings. David Crosby is practically a member of the old American aristocracy.
