Carter got screwed by Reagan - October Surprise(s)

Reagan sent Gov. Connally (TX) out to the various Arab capitols to tell every leader he could find to tell the Iranians not to settle w/ Carter, they'd get a better deal from Reagan. Kind of like Nixon sending out Anna Chennault to tell the SVN leaders not to sign a peace deal in 1968 because Nixon would give him a better deal. The October Surprises were a reality.

Thank you! I was wondering when someone would bring this up! I read Barbara Honegger's book and also Gary Sick's comments about the October Surprise in 1980. This needs to discussed more as it seems to have been brushed under the carpet.
