What do you guys think of his appearance?

reply

It is hard to believe he turns 50 this year. I was shocked how he aged, but we all get older. I am 3 years older.

reply

I know it sucks. I'm hitting my 40s this month!

reply

It's a big decade of health and body change. Prepare now for 50. That's the decade when people who refuse to change their lifestyle and still have the same youthful habits usually die of heart attacks or cancer. If you havent started yet Make sure to get a yearly physical now. It's pretty important.

reply

It is hard to believe our generation are becoming the elder generation, but time is a thief.

reply

Wait till we are the senior citizen generation. That will really suck...lol. I am gonna do my best to stay out of assisted living. šŸ˜‚

reply

I'm pretty healthy but I've had covid so who knows the long-term effects of that.

reply

I'm sure you are fine. My best advice to you is to begin really thinking about your health. I did when I turned 40. I didn't go all in until I was 49 but i cut things out slowly in my diet. Beef and pork about 8 years go, almost all processed foods last year. Feel like a million bucks. Also some type of exercise every day.

reply

Iā€™m pretty healthy but a little on the thin side. Skinny over 40 apparently makes you look older than your years so I hope not.

reply

Haha. No I think thin makes us look younger. I lost 38 pounds last year. Wasnt fat by any means. But was getting a bit flabby. I'm 153 (5'11") now all toned up and yeah I look really thin. The only people who say I look older are those who are overweight. Which to me is a sign of getting older. (Though of course many young people are overweight or thin)

My face had got a bit gaunt but has now settled in a bit.

reply

What's the logic behind cutting out beef? Pork maybe I understand since it's typically more fatty. But beef?

reply

He looks like a 49 year old. He looks very healthy. I maintained my youthful looks up until mid to late 40's. I'm 50 now and while not as many wrinkles as Kirk the cracks are starting to show. Grey hair everywhere now. I have a very healthy diet and am very active
But time catches up to everyone no matter what you do. Its inevitable.

Also as much as I hate to admit it I sleep a bit more now. Even with all the healthy foods I eat I get a bit more tired. That's something that only gets worse with age and you really can't fight or reverse. You can slow it or take stuff to give yourself an energy boost but the days of eating like shit and still having the energy of a bull are long gone.

reply

That's a reasonably young looking 49/50. Some people look far older by that age.

reply

I agree, he looks quite good for that age.

His sister though, I think she looks better than ever and looks much younger than her age.

reply

She does look good. I think with women, as they get older a lot of them become too skinny or athletic and they lose that suppleness, which makes them look much older than they are. She still has that which helps her.
