How was "The Undertaker vs The Undertaker match done so well?

I've been thinking back lots lately over the wrestling career of "The Undertaker", now that he's retired. My two favorite matches of his were the hell in a cell match vs Mankind and The Undertaker vs The Undertaker. I still marvel to this day at how well "The Undertaker vs The Undertaker" went. I'm talking from when it started with Ted Dibiase's Undertaker, right up until the match at Wrestlemania in Chicago. It was pulled off brilliantly! And whose idea was it to enlist Leslie Nielsen's character of "Frank Drebin" from the Naked Gun films as the detective to attempt to solve the case of the two Undertakers? Please if anyone knows, fill me in.
