who do you like better?

I'm not a big fan of either. But Jackson Browne has gravitas and made some serious music. I mean he knew Nico for chrissakes.

James Taylor always did top 40 folk pop. I never took him seriously.

Yeah, I had a boyfriend who loved Jackson Browne. That's how I have some familiarity with his work. Like I said, his was serious music. I always considered James Taylor as throwaway music.

Oh shit. My Mount Rushmore is Bowie, Morrissey, Bryan Ferry, Marc Bolan, Brian Eno.

I like them both.
But Jackson Browne is a much better songwriter.
