Suffers from Aspergers syndrome?
I recently heard he does and admitted it in one or two interviews, does anyone know if this is legitimate?

shareThanks for information, however I have already done my share of research into the matter and I have it myself.
I think a number of those who do have asperges can learn how to better themselves and become as normal as possible, but such depends on the level they are on in advancement. I have seen my share of individuals who also have it and they don't seem to come off as such until they actually said so, others usually have much more than aspergers alone. In regards to the interviews, I heard Black also stated that it wasn't very easy to get where he was today, it wasn't an easy ride for him but he managed eventually. Although I'd take it he was pretty advanced growing up, but the question to this is only something he or relatives would be able to answer.

"I hope Jack can write a book about his coming of age. I really would like to write a book about my life and what I've learned but it's very difficult for me to write it as it's quite painful. I can talk to people just fine now. I'm currently 24."
Interestingly I once came across somewhere stating that a lot of actors actually do have Aspergers and got into performing because they thought it would help them. Maybe if Black does have it, the reason he got in acting was because it would help him might make sense. Here's also a list of famous people( from scientists to novelists to director to actors, etc.) who have unspecified forms of this disorder or have actually been diagnosed with it( This is in a random order though and it includes those living and dead)-
Daryl Hannah
Dan Akroyd
Billy Connelly
Peter Sellers( could be wrong here)
Robin williams
Crispin Glover
Woody Allen
Keanu Reeves
Marilyn Monroe( Supposedly, she had a history of instability, depression and suicide)
Clark Gable
Bill Gates
Henry Ford
Virginia Woolf
Shakespeare
Isaac Asimov
Charles dickenson
Michael Jackson
Socrates
Jeremy Bentham
Steven Spielberg
Zack Snyder( director of 300 and Watchmen; So I've heard, most likely am wrong here)
Leonardo Da Vinci
Vincent Van Gogh
Beethoven
Elvis
Alexander the great
Louis IV
Catherine the great
peter the great
Celopatra( reportedly she wore a fake beard as well did other famel Egyptian rulers, this all relates to, as research demonstrates, massive neurological effects hormones can have on different stages of life and maturation.
Wilhen II
Abe Lincoln( more than likely didn't have it but did have quite the weird side to him)
Napoleon
George Washington
John Quincy Adams
Al Gore( Never been confirmed nor answered from him himself, though he is considered by some to might have it as he does show signs of it; social awkwardness, inability to relate or speak with others on level, and the intelligence)
Andrew Jackson
Andrew Johnson
James Garfield( Probably had savant skills as he was able to write latin with one hand and Greek in the other)
William Taft
Harry Truman
Albert Einstein
Isaac Newton
Benjamin Franklin( From what I recall reading his peers did not give him the assignment to write the Declaration of Independence because they had feared he would incorporate a joke in it, Aspies are known to make extreme or different sensibilities of humor.)
Heath Kuzmich( Former America's Next Top Model contestant, also suffers from ADD)
Alfred Hitchcock
Jane Austen
Charles Darwin
Henry Cavendish
Satoshi Tajiri( Creator of Pokemon)
Jim Henson
Charles Schulz( creator of Charlie Brown)
Thomas Jefferson
Wolfgang Mozart
George Orwell
Thomas Edison
Gary Numan
Craig Nicholls
Gary McKinnon
Mark Twain
Luke Jackson( rose to fame at the age of 13 when he wrote a book from first-hand experience about how it's like to have the disorder.)
Tom Hanks( A small maybe, but I kind of doubt it)
Emily Dickinson
HP Lovecraft
Temple Grandin
Carl Jung
James Taylor
Bobby Fischer
Bob dylan
Jim Morrison( There's a possibility he might've had it, though I somewhat doubt it entirely, but from what I've heard he didn't really have a history of making proper eye contact and of course lived in his own little world)
Michael Palin
Andy Kaufman
John Denver
Alexander Graham Bell
FYI, I don't think this entire list is legit at all as I doubt a great deal listed here actually had/do have it but this is just from what I've read online and have heard from others.
"I too am able to "hide it" which just means that we have a high enough functioning Asperger's that we've adapted (Jack and I) and don't make people uncomfortable with some unusual mannerisms anymore. I'm very guilty of asking people way too many questions obsessively, making dumb inappropriate jokes, or laughing at inappropriate moments, things like that. The things is; neurotypical (or non Asperger) people do these things too, and often come across as a lot more rude because our rudeness is completlely unintentional. I also had severe social anxiety growing up and couldn't look people in the eye to save my life, and often was just not comfortable around other people. I hated how people; especially my mother, was always trying to change me. Some people are just loners. It is okay. Leave them alone."
I know what you mean, I actually had no clue I had it when I was a little kid despite obviously having special ed services to help me with school work, I didn't even know, though I suspected, till I was about eight years old. It really shook me and since then it hasn't been the easiest for me, however I have improved a great deal. It's strange though because once I engage into a discussion about my likings I seem perfectly fine and you wouldn't suspect me of having it, but these days because I'm trying desperately to be as normal and academically successful in my school work the word comes up too many in my head and I get irritated easily. Psychology and generalization with association, never a good thing. I think we should all remind ourselves that it's just a word and nothing more( even though the truth is, it DOES mean more).

"That's a very collective list you have there. May I ask you, respectfully, is making lists an obsession of yours? It's a common Aspergian thing to have a narrow area of interest. When I was pre school age my obsession was Curious George (I don't remember this but I've been told countless times) and when I was about 6 on it was video games. It took me a very long time before I was interested in anything else as a hobby. I started getting interested in other things when I was about 14-15. "
No, but lists of any kind is one of my obsessions. I don't like to get into all of them, but my main obsession is movies, and I hope someday to be a writer/producer/director/actor. Although I am a senior this year, I will be going back to school next year and work at the Skill Center in broadcasting for the first three periods. Although I will have to say that music has eclipsed my obsession with movies.
"I took two acting classes at Pasadena City College and they did phenomenal things to my speaking and eye contact ability, and it also helped me to become less of a soft spoken person, so it's interesting that Aspergers people get into acting. I do think I could be a great actor but it would have to be the correct role. There is one thing on campus I'm looking into because I feel like I would be good in a dark comedy as a neurotic male, especially after I drink coffee. I hope I get something but I doubt it as they are late in the project and they have been too disorganized."
That's great. I have attended 6th Period Drama Class at Roger's High for my Freshman, Sophomore, and recently, my Senior year, and that is probably my favorite class that I have attended. In fact, I will be working on a one-act play for my (delayed) senior project, and my drama teacher is going to help me get started with it. I honestly can't wait.
