That's nice. I guess that goes right at the top of the list of ways to make Orson Welles spin in his grave.

Yeah, one of cinema's most prolific and respected directors should get played by a guy who does comedies about Mexican wrestling and is in a joke metal band. I mean, he did win a Nickelodeon Kid's Choice award for his prestigious work, after all.

well just so you know, peter jackson already cast black as orson welles. in king kong, jackson said that black's character was a young "wonder boy director", in the spirit of none other than welles, so there you have it, black was welles in one of the worst remakes of all time...

Well, Orson Welles was very intellegent so hell no.

Sacha Baron Cohen is playing Freddie Mercury, so I don't see why couldn't Jack Black play Orson Welles - if only he had the range to do it. I don't think he has. But I still love him.

He seems to be a bit too silly to play Welles. Besides, Liev Schriber already played Welles (as did Vincent Donofrio briefly in Ed Wood).
