He's too old if they do sequels. But yes, after seeing ep. 2 of Spartacus, he's got the chops (ha ha, get it?) for Conan.

He's to tan for Conan. Howard's Cimmerians are pale white.

WRONG!! he is described as bronzed from constant exposure to the sun... and black haired (around 6'2" and 210 lb).. I think that matches him pretty darn well.

I think alot of people think of the Frank Frazetta book cover paintings when they think of Conan (ok maybe they think of Arnold first)

This guy that they're trying to cast as Conan is a dark skinned guy. Obviously that wont come off as a "tan" from pale Conan getting some sun.
