Roles Without Accent
I have only seen Manu in Spartacus and Arrow. Are there roles of his without the Australian accent?

shareTry "The Marine". Can't recall if he had an accent. Pretty sure he didn't though.
shareHe doesn't have an Australian accent dude, he's a bloody Kiwi and a Maori.....get it right. Watch 40 days of night and condemned.
sharewell to me his arrow accent seems different from his spartacus accent, but maybe its because how different the spartacus language is.
shareHe has an accent in thatmovie

He is an Australian. he was born in New Zealand and has lived in Australia since he was like a year old. His father is Maori Kiwi and his mother was Australian I believe. So he does have an Aussie accent unless you can pick up a slight New Zealand one (Which ain't that different anyway) from a nation filled with mostly Australian accents. There are like what 500,000 Kiwis in Australia (Non Aussie citizens) they should just join Australia at least then there would be 4.5 million of them.
And score 27 million Australian and New Zealand citizens. All living in a single nation. I'd happily let us be known as the citizens of Oceania. Aust Zealand, Austealand, New Australia, Zeatralia. Don't seem to be many ways to combind the names that aren't terrible. The Republic of Oceania, The (independent) Commonwealth of Oceania. Oceanian Union. All sound better.
Yeah i'm a kiwi living in Australia, but you have to remember he did go to boarding school in NZ and when it comes to kiwi's going back home after living in Australia with an Aussie accent, damn we get so much s**t, so trying to retain a Kiwi accent is important. And trust me, in Arrow, his accent is distinctly Kiwi/Maori and not Australian. Listen to his partner that he killed in Arrow, now that is a Australian accent.
Our accents might sound the same to some, like American/Canadian. But trust me their is a difference.
I didn't used to realize that there was a difference between the Aussie and NZ accent, mostly because the only NZ actors I was familiar with were on Hercules and Xena. But now that I've watched The Almighty Johnsons for three seasons, I can tell the accents are totally different. Almost as different as Scottish and Irish accents.
