Dear god I was near tears watching her give that final monologue in tonight's episode in the group therapy session. Troian is definitely the best actress out of the four girls, all of her vulnerable moments are so real and heart breaking. :'(

shareOnly just finished watching Season 3 of PLL on DVD (yes, we're that far behind here in Australia). I'd been trying to stretch out watching the season, because I didn't want it all over with too quickly, but finally watched the Season 3 final today. I must say, even from the beginning of the series, Troian Bellisario stood out to me from all the others. While the others were all pretty good (I personally think Ashley Benson is the second best after Troian), Troian pretty quickly became my favourite out of the cast. I think because she was just so good at it all: the funny, the dramatic, etc. No one could deliver a one-liner with such dry wit as her. She was constantly amusing me with the one-liners they gave her, and I felt the most for her character/all that Spencer went through.
However, Season 3 was like on a whole new level, as far as where her character went. Especially once she started going 'crazy'. While it could've gone another way entirely and come across as comical or too over-dramtised in the hands of a lesser actress, Troian knocked it out of the part, making Spencer's descent utterly believable/convincing. Many scenes she had were quite moving any/or heart-breaking. She's perfected that stare she does on occasion where, if anyone's in her line of sight, I would think they'd be smart to run for the hills, as she can be downright scary at times. There were so many twists and turns with her character this season, and I'm glad the writers gave Troian so much to work with, as she was more than up to the task of conveying all the feelings and emotions her character was written as going through this season. No matter what she did or said, I was always on her side, which is a testament to Troian's acting - as I could always understand why Spencer was acting the way she was (even when she was doing some pretty questionable things).
Without a doubt, she is the star of the show imho (of course, the others aren't too shabby either). I'm just surprised Troian hasn't secured some major big screen roles as yet (although the show's probably keeping her busy). Once the series is over, though, I would very much like to see her get some major movie roles, as I think she more than deserves to make it big in film as well as on television.
