why doesnt he do more movies

I couldn't agree more. I loved him in Black Hawk Down, yet I thought he was too restrained as Hector in Troy. Of course the story, but I felt that the director didn't give him enough screen time to develop his character into the warrior that Hector was and why it was so significant when Achilles took him out. I felt that Troy focused way too much on Brad Pitt, and I would have loved to have seen more of Bana and Sean Bean. Still Eric played his part to tragic perfection, still I think he could probably pull of some comedic roles if the urge ever strikes. When I see an actor (or actress) of this calibur with a small credit list I wonder if it's more of a part time thing. I agree he's great and I'd hope that he finds the movie he wants to act in sometime soon. Great post and exactly what I was thinking tonight. Sorry for the long reply.

Troy was the first time I noticed Eric and fell in love with him right there and then. Likewise I would have loved to see more of Eric and Sean Bean, they were the strategists while Achilles mostly liked to kill. He was great in the first Star Trek movie but I wish he would do more movies that let him really shine.
