Peaked too soon?

Like everyone here I was blown away by his performance as chopper and excited to see what else he could do. But his work from then on hasn't been nearly as impressive..i haven't seen a performance or film that equals what he did in chopper. I suspect his best work is already behind him.

He's stated before deliberately not taking many film roles. and many of those he's signed onto of late couldn't have done his status as a thespian too many favors in the immediate future. Not impossible, given recent events, that a Mike Keaton-esque career resurgence may transpire. In another twenty years or so.....

Too soon? He's no spring chicken!

He was awesome in Black Hawk Down, roles like Chopper don't come along too often. Don't forget he was essentially unknown as a dramatic actor before Chopper - he was a stand up comedian!
