I think he's a fine actor but his accent in BHD is a bit distracting. It's kind of generic US South that is not actually the way anyone in the very expansive US South actually talks. There were a powerful lot of bad accents in BHD since very few of the actors were American. Jason Isaacs, who I usually love, had a pretty bad one going on as well.
