Haven't you read The Dark Knight Returns? You can make batman any age you want. The problem with the movies is that they keep rebooting the franchise from the beginning.

He's roughly the same age as Ben Affleck so age shouldn't be an issue. And he'd be much better than Affleck in the role but looks like the decision has been made....
