Anyone read Mortal Engines?

Peter Jackson's next adaptation: Mortal Engines. I've never even heard of this series. Anyone read it? Of course I'm wondering: Is there a major part that would suit RA?

Never heard about this series. It would be great if RA could work with them again... :)

I agree. This sounds like a winner and I see I'm not the only one who has picked out Thaddeus for Richard. https://twitter.com/S_antonton/status/790895417311440896

I've never read the books but the premise sounds interesting (and spectacular). And I like the name, Thaddeus Valentine - makes a change from John, LOL!

The books on Amazon are getting 4/5 stars, are written for teenagers, have a dry sense of humour and have won various awards. Phillip Reeve has also co-authored Horrible Histories which will be a thumbs up for him as far as the Brits are concerned - I don't known if other nationalities have heard of these hilarious books or seen the children's shows that the books resulted in.

"No 11-to-16-year-old should miss the superbly imagined debut novel from Philip Reeve" - The Times. "This big, brave, brilliant book combines a thrilling adventure story with endless moral conundrums" - Guardian.

It sounds like an interesting storyline. If PJ has had an eye on it for years, then I suspect it's special. I'll add this to my list to try out for when I'm home for Christmas.

The books are really good, even though they're written for kids. They have a great story and can be enjoyed by adults, kind of in the same way the Harry potter books can.
RA would be ideal to play Valentine.

Thanks. I will give it a try over Christmas.
