They've got to rescue Clare after the bungling of the previous episode. Hector seems to blame Frost for being old and for being self-seeking (he's after a job back in Washington). Frost blames Hector for interfering. It's only just occurred to me that Hector (is he really Thomas Shaw or only pretending to be TS?) tried to spill the beans in advance of the operation in an attempt to stop it from going ahead and thus protect Clare. This shows either how slow I am or how badly the show is getting the plot across.
RA is standing there with his arms crossed, looking very manly. He and Hector will doubtless attempt to save Clare together in the belief that she will be executed if they wait for the promised 'message'.
If you think back to the early bits and pieces we received whilst they were filming, Daniel gets kidnapped and a hood is thrown over his head before he is bundled away. Is he doing a John Porter? Is he allowing himself to be captured so that he can rescue Clare from the inside?
And I wonder just how able he actually is? People don't seem to think much of his abilities but have him down as a bit of a geek who's good at paperwork. Esther classifies him as a 'low level' spy and wonders why her boss is putting so much effort into him. But, I still remember that very early scene of him in the jungle. He really seems to know what he's doing. Is he about to come into his own?
