See the Col Needham explanation for shutting down the boards. One of the reasons was too much reporting. I would add too much false reporting by people who don't like freedom of speech. The PC crowd always wants to shut up anyone whose opinions they don't agree with. Much like this board. Well, now you can talk about whatever you like in your obscure little corner of the Internet -- there will be no one there to listen with the possible exception of the 5 of you...
