The Crucible: the perfect play for our times.....


RA has tweeted a link to an article in The Guardian that claims The Crucible is the perfect play for our 'post truth times'. There is some dispute about this from the posters but I have always thought it a play for all seasons - there is so much that you can relate to in it and you can see all sorts of political statements which may or may not be there because it was written with so much truth and so much passion.

The nice thing about this article is that it gives a link to an interview with RA which he did just before the filmed version of his play appeared in the cinemas:

One of the posters also gives a link to the RA version on Digital, naming it as the best version on screen. And, yes, I think it would be, even without RA.
