MAJOR FALLING OUT WITH

Luke Wilson? He's not casted him since Tenenbaums. And Wes doesn't seem like the type to just throw someone away.

reply

Not necessarily. He's obviously just closer to Owen. Doesn't mean there was a falling out.

Maybe Luke's not interested.

Can't stop the signal.

reply

I feel like something had to have happened. The three of them were roommates for years. They even traveled together! Plus, Luke has been quoted numerous times in the last decade saying that he'd love to work with Owen and Wes again.

That alone shows there was no falling out. It just reaffirms they haven't found the time or the right project.

Can't stop the signal.

Don't be a twist, Whedonite.
It's embarrassing.

Nothing more petty than someone on the outside trying to conjure drama between other people.

Get a life and some fresh air.

reply

Firstly, not trying to "be a twist" or be petty... (?). I fail to see how me asking a question/speculating about two of my favorite collaborators is either. I'd realized
Luke's absence in Anderson's work and posted on here to see if anyone had heard anything concrete on why they've not worked together in a little over a decade. I'm a huge fan of both, because I'd seen Tenenbaums 3 days after I'd attempted suicide. It's a very personal film to me and was just curious. Sorry or any other implications you may have percieved. They were not my intention.

reply

Ahhhh man...
now I feel like a jerk.

Well, all I can say is that "I'm sorry".
I was trying to be more goofy in my post, but....
I'll just leave it with "I'm sorry".

reply

Hey, it's all good. With all the trolls and whatnot on here, it's easy to see where you came from.

reply

Thanks for being gracious with my apology.
But I was being a jerk. No reason at all for me to act that way.
Thanks for being cool about it.
