Persian vs. Iranian?!?!
Why the reference to "Persia or Persian"? Let's call it/you what you are! IRANIAN!!

shareIranian refers to a nation, Persian refers to an ethnicity. So she's both. Got it now?
Must dash. I forgot to feed my wombat.
Exactly! Not all Persians are Iranian (though that is the center of origin for the ethnicity), just like not all Iranians are Persian. A lot are, some aren't, and Shohreh just happens to be both. Though, technically, she's a Persian-American now (since she got her citizenship).
Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
Technically she's an American now.
can't outrun your own shadow
I know, hence the distinction between Persian and Iranian. Persian in this day and age refers to an ethnicity, Iranian is a nationality. Thus, Shohreh is now American nationality, but still Persian ethnically too. She is both.

What exactly is your problem, aside from ignorance?
