She's come a long way...

Since I discovered her in Drop Dead Gorgeous and Cruel Intentions 2. She even starred in Charmed, BTVS and Smallville episodes. And wasn't even the star, back then. And all those people who were, never made it big in Hollywood. Funny how things go, sometimes...

I came here to mention the same thing. I remembered seeing her as Tara's cousin Beth on Buffy and thinking what a bad side actress she was on the show. Years later I see her in that Disney film where she turns into a real princess. And now she seems a full blown A lister. How that happened is beyond me because I still don't find her such a great actress. Nor is she incredibly hot or anything (not being superficial, just saying that exceptional looks can also get you places in Hollywood).

I guess she got really lucky and that is great for her. But I honestly don't understand what the people in Hollywood see in here.. Best of luck to her though..

While it's definitely subjective, what one considers talent/beauty. I also thought she was rough on Buffy and Charmed; now however... different story. She does have a quality about her that's extremely endearing, an "old Hollywood" type vibe. It's the same thing that all her directors say about her, she has a unique, earthly quality. To boot, she is a renowned sweetheart who it would appear just wants to make art. I think she's really genuine. I have became a fan of hers accidentally, after watching Nocturnal Animals. I also caught American Hustle, The Fighter, Enchanted and Big Eyes. I'd seen Enchanted before, but hadn't seen her serious work.

I think she is good, as an actress you don't want to take your eyes off her, I don't think. She was super charismatic in American Hustle and made Jennifer Lawrence look like a screaming, over the top theatre actress IMO (I can't bear J-Law, while others love her, so as I said before; subjective).

But it's definitely warms the heart seeing how far she's come.
