Biggest snub by far since Affleck Argo as Best director

Can't say about Argo, but I was greatly disappointed Amy wasn't nominated. 2016 was her year and I thought an Oscar was a lock, but alas...

Totally snubbed. Amy carried the entire film. Though I'm happy with Ruth Negga's surprise inclusion.

Amy will win one some day. So I'm not worried.

Totally agree, this is truly an outrage. Her performance in Arrival was flawless. Without her performance I doubt Arrival would have been nominated best picture.

Why does the Academy give Streep a nomination for almost every film she is in (7 times in the last 11 years)?

Totally agree, this is why the Oscars are the worst. I don't even really care for Amy Adams much, but she was fantastic in Arrival (the best movie of the year, IMO).
