Worst damn hack in history of cinema.

Could have been far, far better with a TALENTED Director at the helm but as it is Star Wars TFA was simply mediocre. This schmuck is a worthless piece of crap, I'm just glad he won't be back for the rest of the movies.

This man needs to go back to film school and learn how to tell a story.

Studio people don't care about art or story telling. They care about money and for sure JJ can earn money. Welcome to 21 century pal.

Why to curse? You should thank me, now you're a little bit more bright, mate.

I'm not an Abrams fan, but you're clearly jealous, or illiterate. The Star Wars 7 was obviously over the head of most IMDB Donald Trump clones.

Hack? I can name a lot of very famous, respected hacks, and Abrams doesn't even make the honorable mention list. I'm giving credit where credit is due.

One: He didn't try to make iconic lines in this story. He instead chose not to compete with New Hope in that regard, which was a wise move. If a line happens to become iconic, it will do so in time, naturally.

Two: His "History repeats itself" theme was what was needed to show why Luke was depressed and hiding, not wanting to let History repeat itself, yet seeing that it does. It wasn't "overdone", but just enough to show that Luke was motivated.

Three: The scenery was great, not too much on special effects. Didn't make us dizzy, but gave us the story and the cause-effect necessary for good story telling.

Four: He gave us the best and most credible of the villains in the Star Wars Universe. Finally, one with credible motivation, which made him the most convincing, which made him the most menacing.

Five: He hits you over the head with a hammer to show that the villain is a complete "Bogart composite", and yet almost no one mentions it. He's clearly over the heads of most people, and time will bear him out.

Six: The real test of time is 100 or more years. I'm certain that will bear it out.

Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!
