As a director he has only done effects driven franchise movies and that Spielberg homage drivel. Not seen Star wars yet but I liked the Star Trek movies, Mi3 wasn't great. I still have no idea if this guy can actually direct or just does what he's told by the money men and tries to emulate old Stevie.
