James Bond

He should direct a James Bond movie! Abrams has proven to be successful in the spy genre with Alias and the Mission: Impossible films, and could add some freshness to the 007 franchise, especially once Daniel Craig exits the series.

reply

It's already ruined with Spectre. They need someone to fix it.

reply

Won't happen. The Bond producers almost always look for British directors. The only Bond films that were directed by foreign directors were Day Another Day and Quantum of Solace and look how they turned out.

reply

Yeah, it would be bitchin' rad if Jar Jar Abrams ruins James Bond too!

I agree 100% with you

I know I said this before, but he could remake Narnia and maybe even Eragon (the Eragon book was okay, but the movie was crap).

Definitely is good enough to direct a James Bond movie

reply

Yeah, I'd give him a chance. The only man to date who's directed both a Bond film and a Star Wars movie is Irvin Kershner...and the Bond movie in question, Never Say Never Again, wasn't official canon.

Were JJ to do it, he'd have made both Trek and Wars movies, as well as Bond and Mission Impossible. Impressive show of trust from studios.

Strangely, this would be a good job for him. His Star Trek and Star Wars consist mainly of plagiarizing earlier episodes, but James Bond is a tongue in cheek series whose appeal comes from its formulaic, self-effacing plots. Right up JJA's alley.
