It's pretty obvious he was from the Falklands. The giveaway is in the episode with Roger Daltrey, who plays a vocal instructor. Fez yells at him: "You know we won the war!" or something to that effect, the whole Britain vs. Brazil thing.

Fez is from Colombia.....because he said his country made really good coffe beans and weed(mariguana) is also made in his country. COLOMBIA...and he speaks spanish because in the episode where he imagines of him and donna together and living like I Love Lucy he spoke spanish and really well.

Colombia? In the series finale he also referred to his home as an "island" — I don't think he was referring to Colombia.

I agree with wwnc3. I mean... to me, it's clear that Wilmer Valderrama portrays a latin american guy... but a stereotypical one, with no defined nationality.
They never state his country of origin, on purpose... They just give random clues (such as the "island" one and the "coffee" one, pointed out before) that cannot make you know for sure where he is from... But he speaks with a thick accent and he has spoken spanish in some episodes... So I'd say that he is from "some Latin American country" (the fact that the actor who impersonates Fez is a Latino should be another clue, shouldn't it?).

On the other hand, people from the Falklands are British (mainly of Scottish descent) and are native English speakers... do you really think that Fez resembles a person of that origin? The fact that he claims "You know we won the war!" just means that his country of origin was more or less recently engaged on a war (recently respect to that time, the 70's)...

By the way... the Falklands war was between the UK and Argentina, not Brazil... Moreover, it took place in 1982, after the 70s...

Thank you for correcting that, Lyon72. I almost had a heart attack when I read that first statement. Some people really need to get their facts correct before posting a bunch of crap.
