I've seen Lily recently and she does an incredible live show!!!! It's not exactly like the "Search" because she does more of a 'stand up' type format but she does do Trudy, the bag lady. She also does Ernestine, Edith Ann, Mrs. Beasley, Lud & Marie, Lucille the Rubber Freak, Sister Boogie Woman and few others. Lily is simply AWESOME!!!! I think she's as good today as she ever was. I'm sure you'll love her show. Where/when in April will you see her?

Wow, I completely forgot that I had written this post... oops! Anyway, thank you so much for answering. The show is actually in two days - the 29th. I'm extremely excited for it. I'm especially glad to hear that Lucille the Rubber Freak will make an appearance, you made my night. Thanks!

It was amazing! I could not have asked for better seats. She performed many of my favorite monologues including Goodbye Ms. Sweeney. No appearance of Lucille W. though :( But I could not have asked for a better evening.

As I was getting back on the interstate after the show, I spotted her limo and a few camera men. You should have seen me navigating the one way streets to get back there - it was quite funny. Anyway, after a series of right hand turns and frantic running through downtown Charleston, I got to meet Lily. She was so generous and friendly. I got my copy of "The Search..." book signed. I can't wait to go to another show.

It has definitely been the highlight of my year so far.

That's great! How nice that you were able to meet her after. She is very nice nice to meet isn't she? I'm glad you made it safely back to catch her.

I'm surprised she didn't do Lucille W. though. Maybe she's changing her show a little. I can't wait to see her in June. Her show is just amazing no matter what characters she does.
