Yes, it was Naomi Watts. Back when the video first hit YouTube, there was a cut where you could see half of her face. It may still be there.
I still can't understand why everyone got so upset about this. The fact of the matter is: the actors were fairly close from filming together all that time. They were all exhausted and angry and hungry. They were being treated in an incredibly unprofessional and thoughtless manner by Russell, and most of the crew. Lily finally went off on a tirade, and no one held it against her. Watts, in the back seat, was tired too, and found Lily's mouthing off kind of funny (like the rest of the world when we saw it on YouTube). She giggled, and, just as an aside, Lily threw an "F you, too!" back to her. It wasn't personal or mean-spirited. They were all just tired.
Notice, Lily swears at Dustin Hoffman, and he barely reacts; they were all FRIENDS.
Haven't people ever seen a friend go off before?
If Lily is such a terrible villain, why would she have said complimentary things about Russell at the film's premiere, and even joke around playfully with him (and Russell about her)? They will probably never be the best of friends, but they both managed to be respectful and gracious to one another by the end of the project; it's what professionals do.
Many, many awful things have been said through the years about working with one particular person who had a big part in "I Heart Huckabees," and it clearly isn't Lily Tomlin.
