Very bad on Desperate Housewives

I like Lily Tomlin as a person, i haven't watch a lot of movies starring her but I think she should stop doing tv shows, because after having found her dreadfull in Will & Grace, I realize that she is just bad last night on Desperate Housewives. Maybe she is a terrific movies actress, but god is she unnatural when it comes to play the character of Mrs McClusky sister... Not once did I believe on her character, and everything she did made me unease because it was THAT bad ... hope she'll improve in next episode though, but don't really believe it seing how wrong she was...

she was hilarious, in my opinion. as for her being unnatural, well theres only really felicity hoffman out of the entire cast that you could say plays her role with ANY amount of realism; the show roots in soap opera and melodrama.

"they should give nicole kidman an oscar for being able to show any emotion after THAT much botox".

You must be watching a different actress, or need to adjust the antenna on your Hilarity Detector. She is entirely BELIEVABLE on both Will & Grace and Desperate Housewives. The lovable eccentric is totally her niche.

I think she has just been giving practically nothing to work with yet on DH, and hopefully she'll be more impressive as the material gets better.

She's terrific on DH and she has to walk a fine line because she's a comedy superstar and her role is just a supporting featured one, she has to pull back some. But she's so great in it there's talk she and Kathryn Joosten are going to be spun-off in a comedy/mystery series as their characters.

I have never seen her in a serious role. She was WONDERFUL!
