Is it fair to say he's the modern day Arnold and Stallone?

I for one think he is both of those guys rolled in one. I can't think of any other action star that comes close to what those guys did in the 80's and 90's.

I really like Statham but I have yet to see a truly great film with him in...or a good one for starters. Sly and Arnie have dozens

You didn't like Cellular? You didn't like Home Front? You didn't like Redemption (aka. Hummingbird)?

All I can say is, Wow.

Actually havn't seen those. I've seen all the Transporter and the Crank films and The Mechanic and they all pretty much sucked. Are these ones better?

Statham doesn't have the truly iconic roles that Stallone and Arnold had (Rocky, Rambo, and The Terminator) but he's done a bunch of decent movies. In fact, his movies are rarely great but they also pretty much never stink either.

Statham is less Arnold and Sly. Kinda has a little jcvd, but I see him as the British Charles Bronson.

I enjoy Statham's movies... but he's almost 50 and has no iconic character... unlike The Terminator, Rocky, Rambo... also Arnold and Sly used to make movies back in the 80s and 90s that were able to gross over 350 million... 500 million at the box office... Statham doesn't have anything like.
