It sounds like they have under strict control so she doesn’t go completely manic all the time or self harm.

That is why it appears that they are just using her to print money. Someone that is as crazy as they claim she is and that truly requires 24/7 supervision shouldn't be thrown out on a stage to perform like a dancing monkey every night. That's what makes it appear that either she isn't as bat shit crazy as they claim or that they are just using and abusing her for the money. There is no inbetween on this one.
shareOr maybe having some kind of structure in her life is what keeps her mentally stable. It's when she doesn't have anything going on is when she goes crazy. By having a normal performance schedule, especially a residency, she knows she has to be on stage at a certain time each night, and whatever her preshow routine is. Also it would motivate her to stay in shape, get enough rest, and to take whatever meds she might be on.
shareIt's unclear if she needs to be under conservatorship. Most people with conservators aren't able to voice an opinion about it, because most people under conservatorship are too developmentally delayed to enter society, or are deep in dementia. There are also people who are severely mentally ill under conservatorship, and maybe some of them don't like the fact that someone else controls their financial and medical decisions, some of them might well want to have children or spend their disability check on lining their living quarters with tinfoil and communion wafers to keep the demons away, but that doesn't mean they should get their way.
I think Britney has some serious form of mental illness, but of course even though I'm as curious about the details as anyone, it's illegal for anyone to release medical information to the public.
