Isn't there, says, "specialist" in mail stamps, as example. They have no life? They can't speak of what interest them? Me, I don't need to bring people around me to make a point, my point stands all alone. People who use argument of number ("all people around me think the same") are people who fell unsecure and need some additionnal support for their otherwise shaky argument. Neither the number of people has never made a truth, neither using a argument of number ever really helped. Using it is just a recognition that your argument is a weak joke. When I use an argument, I don't feel the urge to add "and my mom think the same". Why you, you do?
Probably alcohol, if anything. That's the only "drug" that would make you gain weight. Do you live under a rock? Have you ever seen how gaunt a meth addict is? Sheesh...

Nothing tell you that it was about a drug or that it was about being "addicted" in the first place (the OP claims it is about an addiction, but that is the OP claim, not a fact). Could have been depressive since his father's death, bad health news about his mother, or anything else such as seeking psychological help... or just a matter to lose weight (after Goon) in a record time (to play Stifler).
