Has he ever made a serious movie?

That is to say, has he ever done a movie where he doesn't play the doof from American Pie with a different name?

Definitively. Maybe you don't look at these "serious" movies, so you didn't see him in those: Final Destination (the first one), Stark Raving Mad, Bulletproof Monk, The Rundown, Dukes of Hazard, Evolution, The Promotion, Southland Tales, ...

he plays a similar character in all of those movies

also none of those movies are serious movies

and southland tales is just pure *beep*

Anyone who ever saw Final Destination (the first one) can clearly see by himself/herself that you are painfully wrong, he does not play Stifler there, unless you are willingly blind to not see the evidence. Same for the other movies that I mentioned (have you ever seen Promotion? Stark Raving Mad? ...) . And even if a movie is, in your opinion, pure beep, that does not make the acting, of each and all actors in it, worthless. And what do you define as a "serious" movie, to start with. So, not only he does not always play the same kind of character, but he also played in different kind of movies.

Yeah, right. "Final Destination" is totally serious. It may not be realistic, since the killer is supernatural, but it's definitely serious.

Goon. Watch it!

Goon he plays a very different character.

He just starred in a drama that just came out a few months ago also, heard it was good.

reply

goon. Definitely. His most different and BEST movie.

reply

Take it you haven't watched Goon, Just Before I Go, American Loser, Mr. Woodcock, Bulletproof Monk, I see no signs of Steve Stifler in any of those movies.

Stark Raving Mad, Bulletproof Monk, Final Destination, The Rundown, The Promotion, Goon, Just Before I Go, Southland Tales. Some of these are Comedy/Drama's but I'd still count them. Not one movie listed features the Stifler Shtick
