no career
who cares.
shareSILVER SPOONS,LONESOME DOVE AND POOLHALL JUNKIES...THATS ENOUGH FOR ME.🙂
ALTHOUGH HE SUCKED SO BAD ON NYPD BLUE HIS CHARACTER VANISHES AT THE END OF HIS TENURE...THE BODY IS LATER DISCOVERED IN A DUMP...A SEASON LATER.
They really killed him off on NYPDB? LOL!
I agree, his casting on that show was a mismatch. He was interesting as a child actor because he has such a boyish face. I don't think he's that great of an adult actor as I've watched some of his later TV movies.
Let's not forget his small role in Crimson Tide.
Its damn hard for child actors to make a career. Damn, damn hard.
Last night I watched a documentary about Joey Cramer, the kid from Flight Of The Navigator on Amazon. Another typical tale of a kid who got into drugs very young, and was in and out of prison for various offences, the most serious being bank robbery. Luckily he has now pulled himself together and is starting to get small roles, commercials, and is even counselling other drug addicts.
Its a great documentary by the way, there is some stuff about the making of the movie, and a reunion of sorts with cast members Veronica Cartwright, Cliff Deyoung and other cast and crew.
I actually met Schroder once, he was in the UK in the 80s filming a version of Little Lord Fauntleroy with James Mason (if you are familiar with the making of The Shining doc, this is the movie that was being made on the same lot when Mason and some others visited the set of The Shining).
I worked at a cinema in Londons West End, and he came in with his family on a pre arranged visit to watch the original Fame movie.
And another co incidence...that was the same cinema where the premiere of the boxing movie The Champ was held, which I had also worked and which was attended by no less than the Queen herself.
