Really good scene from WD S02 with Daryl and Carol

I love how bad Daryl is in dealing with the fact he feels things and cares for other people. He just spent two minutes arguing with himself. And it so obviously is, on a level, about his dad too, haha! :D

I know some people were angry about this scene and the way Daryl behaved towards Carol, but the reason she doesn't really react, beside being too sad, is I think she senses that he too is just vulnerable as hell here, really.

Daryl is my fav twd character, at the start I hated him but now I like him alot, the way he reacts when we lose some of the group. He may act tough but he still cares about his group

I always loved Daryl, from the minute he stumbled out of the shrubs and told everyone: "Whatta hell people! It's gotta be the brain, don't y'all know nothin'?"

And I really think a lot of that was Norman's performance. Everything Daryl did in the first season COULD have set the character up to be just like Thomas in the prison -- nothing but bad news. But with Norman at the rains we got a character that was tough as nails, very angry -- and yet relateable.

What I take from that scene is that Daryl wont hit a women. I believe Carol blames herself for Sophia's death and believes she needs to be punished. She knows that Daryl has the same background as her abusive husband and that he's hurt and angry about what happened and she thinks he will take it out on her phisically when she goes to him. But he doesn't. He only takes it out on her verbally which I think can be expected in his state of grief.

Great scene. I loved daryl the minute he appeared in S1. Norman has added his nuances that make the character so compelling. I miss the earlier seasons. I loved Carol but now they have made her so unlikeable that I often hope she is the next to go.
