Best performance other than Daryl Dixon?

Curious and wanting to know more of his work besides The Walking Dead.

reply

Outside of Blade II and TWD, I haven't seen him in anything. A co-worker saw one of his recent movies - Hello Herman. It's an anti-bullying film. She said he was pretty good in it, but she said overall the movie was not great. That's all I got.

Def check out The Boondock Saints. Another of my favorites is Dark Harbor, difficult to get in UK tho.

He has the lead in Messengers 2. Weird budget horror, but better than I expected.

He was in a couple episodes of Charmed. Should also check out his early movies, Floating and Six Ways to Sunday. Oh and I've heard that Tough Luck is a good one too.

Six Ways to Sunday, Gossip, Floating and Bad Seed (originally title is Preston Tylk) are some of his films that has a pretty good storyline. A Crime is also a good watch.

Just saw The Boondock Saints! And while Dafoe stole most of the film for me I was still impressed with Reedus. Will definitely check out floating and other films mentioned.

The ones I've seen

Floating - 7 Rites of passage are not normally my kind of thing in a film but I enjoyed this
Mimic - 8 I enjoyed this film anyway - even if Norman wasn't in it (and he isn't in it for much)
Six Ways To Sunday - 9 Totally adore this weird film - Norman's best ever (and Debbie Harry is brilliant)
Dark Harbour - 4 Awful - I love Alan Rickman but someone should tell him he needs to take lessons in doing a New England accent
Let The Devil Wear Black - 1 Awful (do NOT waste time on this)
The Boondock Saints - 9 I did like this a lot - the 9 is for Willem Defoe but in honesty the film itself is a 7
Beat - 2 Boring (maybe its because I just don't get all the hype about the 'beat generation' arty-farty crap!)
Gossip - 8 Loved it - played very like a TV film - but a good one nonetheless
Bad Seed (Preston Tylk) - 3 A waste of everyone's talents
Blade II - 6 Norman was the best thing about this - I can't stand Wesley Snipes
Tough Luck - 7 The acting in this at times is awful (and the script is bad too) BUT - there's something about it I like - the pay-off at the end is worth it
The Notorious Bettie Page - 2 Boring
Masters of Horror (Cigarette Burns) - 7 I liked this a lot - but I like most things John Carpenter does
Moscow Chill - 3 Norman is very cute in it but the film is rubbish
Red Canyon - 3 Norman is actually pretty good in this - but I'm not sure if he just stands out because the film itself is frigging awful
Messengers 2 : The Scarecrow - 4 Ridiculous
Pandorum - 4 A poor man's 'Event Horizon' and if you're watching it for Norman - don't bother - he's in it for all of three minutes
The Boondock Saints II - 6 Doesn't deserve the bad reviews it gets - but it isn't a patch on the first one
As Blood Runs Deep (Meskada) - 8 I'd highly recommend this one - fairly good acting by all concerned and a good story to-boot
The Consipirator - 8 Like Carpenter - I like most things Redford does and this doesn't disappoint (Norman isn't in it a lot though and he scarcely has any dialogue)

On the whole though - with the exception of Six Ways To Sunday - The Walking Dead is the best thing Norman has done (that I've seen) especially in Series 1.
Time flies like the wind - and fruit flies like bananas!

So Six Ways to Sunday and Floating for sure thanks. I hear a lot of good things about him in Floating. Most of the things I've seen him in he has very small parts like in American Gangster
