I know that his left eye was the one that had to be rebuilt after the accident, but is that a big xanthelasma (cholesterol deposit) under his right eye? I'm watching Gossip which was before the car accident and it appears that he had it under both eyes before the accident. Does anyone else see this?
His right eye was affected in the accident. And from a quick google,the condition you mention affects the eyelids.

No, it was his left side damaged in the accident. The metal plate built up/smoothed out that side. But since he doesn't have that benefit so to say - for his right eye, that side shows the effects from lifestyle choices. And it's why he has long hair strategically cut to fall in precise areas and oftentimes wears shades. But no one's perfect; I don't think it's a big deal.

I don't think its a big deal either.I think the unaffected eye has eye bags while the side operated on doesn't show them so much rather it being some obscure condition.

The condition can happen under the eyes as well. I know because I have it. The frequent black eyes that he has on that side could be from laser treatments to try and remove or reduce it; I've gone through that myself too. I don't really care if he has it or not, but really took notice of it a few months ago and was curious if others saw the same thing I did.
shareHmm, okay. As I said, I only did a quick google check. I know he's given himself black eyes going through doorways with the crossbow held up, and that he also has allergies. It's an interesting theory. Not having heard of this before, it wouldn't have occurred to me.

Reminds me of the actor Ken Wahl who starred in Wiseguy and later had a motorcycle accident and some other physical issues. Reports claimed he was on drugs, to deal with pain and some didnt even think he really had pain issues. I watched an interview he did with a close fan friend who also was a nurse and she said he looked like he was suffering from fibromyalgia, which was then a much less well known condition, which she herself had too. I agreed because I could see the pain in his eyes myself and I worked in a medical field as a counselor.

Yes, it is attributed just as we discussed - not Xanthelasma. Although I can understand why someone might be curious and see it as a possibility.

I totally agree,this whole Daryl is just dirty thing is silly,i feel its Reedus who wants the long hair as hes not gettin any younger and may be insecure about his face as his fanbase grows.Personally, i think Reedus is sexier the older he gets
